Projects - Pedestrian / Light Vehicle Bridges
Washington and Lee University Commons - The school from which George Washington and Robert E Lee descended and originally established in 1749, W&L Commons is a new five-story, ~100,000 square-foot project on drilled pier and conventional foundations. Award winning project includes 300' x 10' pedestrial and light vehicle bridge linking existing to new construction, and 13,000 SF underground service area with 50' spans supporting landscaping.

UVA Maury Hall Pedestrian Link - Charlottesville - $600,000 Pedestrian bridge for the University of Virginia linking sidewalk to existing building, consisting of approach slab and four elevated spans about 30' each. One span is concrete slab on masonry bearing walls, and three are aluminum grating on hollow tube stringers, all supported on masonry towers and abutments.

Robins Nature & Visitor Center at Maymont - Dedicated to native wildlife of the Commonwealth and home to several animals including river otters, turtles and fish. The $21 million, 25,000-square-foot project also includes several small structures for patron interaction and viewing, a boardwalk, pedestrian bridge, concession stand, amphitheater, a 20 foot waterfall and 13 aquariums. Structural system includes heavy-timber trusses.

Virginia Capitol Trail Pedestrian Bridge - "The Virginia Capital Trail is a pedestrian and bicycle trail that connects the Commonwealth's past and present capitals of Jamestown, Williamsburg and Richmond along the Scenic Route 5 corridor.
